Work & longer stays

Your desk has a new view.

In 2022 the finca introduced Casa Quinta as its “Coworking Lodge”: the quiet upstairs house, with places to work, a shared kitchen and a view wide open to the coast. For a week of focus or a month of slow living.

Why Casa Quinta

Calm upstairs, river below.

  • A long room with desks running along the windows, chairs and terracotta tile floor.

    A room to work in

Desks running along the windows; listed as “Office” on Airbnb.

  • Covered brick-floored terrace with two hammocks, a long table and the green valley beyond.

    A terrace facing the valley

A long table, hammocks and mountain air for the calls that don’t need video.

  • Casa Quinta’s shared kitchen with full shelves, hanging pots, a fridge and terracotta floor.

    A real kitchen

A fully equipped shared kitchen so you don’t depend on restaurants.

  • Common room with a red wall, a round timber table with an open laptop, a hammock, pendant lamps and a wall-mounted TV.

    Few people

Three rooms and up to 10 people: a house, not a hotel. For teams, the whole house.

Connection, honestly

Wi‑Fi, yes. Figures, no.

Every house has free Wi‑Fi. The finca advertises it as “fast” and one listing mentions a specific speed, but we couldn’t verify it, so we don’t publish it. The area has occasional power cuts: a June 2026 guest says the finca ran a generator.

Our advice: ask for a recent speed test before booking, bring a power bank and, if your work depends on a call at a fixed time, keep a plan B on mobile data.

A work day (suggested)

From coffee to sunset.

  1. 7:00

    Coffee with a valley

The first one on the terrace, facing the mountains, before the laptop opens.

  2. 8:30

    Deep work

Desks along the windows of the office, with swivel chairs and jungle light.

  3. 12:30

    Lunch at home

The shared kitchen is equipped; the village is close for groceries or eating out.

  4. 14:00

    Calls

Find the quietest corner of the house. Before an important call, test the connection.

  5. 16:30

    River break

Head to the lower grounds: a cold dip and back. If it rained upstream, skip it.

  6. 17:30

    Wrap up at the viewpoint

Sunset from the top of the finca, and a torch for the way down.

Ask about your longer stay

Tick “Longer stay” and “Remote work”, add your questions and WhatsApp opens with everything written. No commitment: the finca replies with options and a rate.

What to ask before coming to work

  • A recent Wi‑Fi speed test (for your dates).
  • Is there power backup if the electricity goes? The area has occasional outages.
  • How many sockets are there in your room and the work areas?
  • Weekly or monthly rates: in 2022 the finca invited guests to ask for weekly and monthly discounts.
  • Laundry: availability and cost.
  • Coming as a team: does the whole house make sense?
